I thought I would write my first post and start this whole thing off!

Tomorrow I am flying to Atlanta for GoCorps training week. I am excited to meet the girls  I will be living and serving with for the next two years of my life in Cambodia. Two weeks ago yesterday I was sitting in my black robe and funny hat waiting for them to call my name so I could walk across the stage. That moment seems like a blur now as I march into the future. I have a feeling that is how the summer is going to feel as I support raise, say goodbyes and prepare myself for a Cambodian adventure.

God has been teaching me a lot about faith in this process and I know it is just the beginning. God has been so completely faithful. This opportunity to go to Cambodia reflects my heart in so many ways and I feel so blessed to join the ministry there. It is exciting for me to step out into the unknown and try to understand what it means to trust God with everything. I want to learn what it means to live with abandon and completely give everything to Christ. I know that God is going to be with my every step of the way. And I know that he will give me the strength that I will need to do what he is calling.

I wanted to write a little bit before I meet my team so that I can share that part of the process. God is so intentional and so I know that he formed our team and I have so much confidence in that. It is exciting to me that all of the girls, including myself are on this specific team for a reason. God is going to teach us through each other. It will be fun to meet everyone and join together as we all share hearts for the lost and broken. Please pray for us as we come together and train for the next two years of our lives!

Here we go…

“He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?”

Micah 6:8
